Social Impact
The Health Center is committed to having a positive impact on the communities in which we serve. We take pride in our ongoing involvement in local community organizations, from weekly meetings to annual drives and benefits. We engage with our communities through service projects, fundraising, and by working with city leaders to identify where we can be most effective. In addition, we are excited to continue our already established efforts in alignment with the new social equity requirements and look forward to putting them further into action.

2022 South by SouthEast Festival
Our UHills staff volunteers with District 3 City Council to celebrate diversity and community
2021 Toy Drive
We donated over 100 toys to Southwest Denver Coalition. A phenomenal community non-profit around the Art District in Southwest Denver.
Southeast Denver Park Cleanup Day
We joined Councilwoman Kendra Black in participating in the Southeast Denver Park Cleanup Day! We helped pick up trash and mulched the park.
Montbello 2020 Back to School Drive-Thru Backpack Giveaway
We helped donate 1,270 backpacks filled with school supplies and PPE products for families in need in the Montbello Community.
South By Southeast
We contribute to South By Southeast with Councilwoman Kendra Black.
Senior Education
We host Senior Education talks, organized by Kendra Black, at the community center.
Teddy Bear Drive
We host a Teddy Bear Drive for first responders.
Benedict Park Clean Up
We contribute to the Benedict Park Clean Up in the Uptown neighborhood every year.
Veteran's Coat Drive
We donate coats to Veterans in need every year.
Going Green
Our Uptown location is the second dispensary in Denver to be a Certified Green Business in Denver since 2018.
Uptown Neighborhood Clean Up
We're proud to participate in the Uptown Neighborhood Cleanups every year.
Toy & Coat Drive
We have hosted our annual toy and coat drive for five years. During the holidays we encourage customers to bring in gently used coats and new, unwrapped toys valued at $10 or more for those in need.
Montbello
In Montbello we help plan, execute and staff Montbello Alive! 5k and Feastival every year. We help Montbello with their no cost grocery program, whether it is volunteering to unload soil or plant.
Montbello Community Garden
We volunteer in the Montbello Community Garden which allows for the creation of social ties and builds a greater feeling of community. These connections help reduce crime, empower residents and allow residents to feel safe in their neighborhoods. Many cities and organizations provide opportunities for residents to become involved with community gardens.
Meals on Wheels
We volunteer weekly at Meals On Wheels. Meals on Wheels is a program that delivers meals to individuals at home who are unable to purchase or prepare their own meals.
Sunken Gardens Park Clean Up
We participated in cleaning up the Sunken Gardens Park on behalf of La Alma/LP Association in the Santa Fe neighborhood.
Donating Meals at Safe Outdoor Space
We donate meals at the Safe Outdoor Space to people experiencing homelessness. The Safe Outdoor Space is a healthy, secure, staffed, resource and service-rich environment that provides an outdoor, individualized sheltering option for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness in Denver.
SWIC Fundraiser
We raised money for Denver's Southwest Improvement Council (SWIC) to give a hot meal to a local senior in need.
